Show Notes

Laughter is known as the best medicine & the spice of life, why you ask!

Paula is going to peel away at the layers of information like an onion, and unravel this topic of the importance of laughter, and why that statement rings true .  Did you know that both laughter and spontaneity have similar benefits. That, saying yes to the small impulses or big ones, and having a good giggle whether spontaneous, or in a simulated fashion through laugh therapy groups has profound benefits on your life,  physical & mental well being

  • Study findings on humor, stress and coping strategies by researchers Martin & Lefcourt; explored the relationship between humor, stress, and coping strategies. It found that individuals who use humor as a coping mechanism experience lower levels of stress and anxiety. Additionally, humor was linked to greater emotional well-being and increased resilience during challenging situations.

Having a sense of humor is oftentimes on the list of character traits for people when they are looking for a partner.   Laughter is a universal human experience that goes beyond just being a response to humor. Laughter is about finding the child within even if laughter was not a common sound in your home growing up.

Laughter reduces stress levels, is a natural muscle relaxant, has an affect on your cardiovascular health, laughter is a natural mood enhancer, strengthens relationships and human bonds, is linked to enhanced creativity, supports problem solving, helps with cognitive flexibility & adaptability.

Lets not forget improved sleep, digestion and pain reduction just to place the cherry on top.

We have never met an angry, frustrated, unhappy, anxious person during a stressful situation who is laughing. That is why host Paula recommends that working on your sense of humor and bringing more laughter into your life will also have huge benefit on your mental well being.
